Lisa and Tommy talk about their picks for best news aggregators for their Apple iPads. Lisa likes Fluent News and the Daily and Tommy prefers flipboard. One beef they both find with the crop of newsreaders is the fact it takes time to download content and they are not very friendly in situations where you don’t have wifi or 3G access…like airline travel. There needs to be a way you can pre-download content for offline reading.

Jess & Tommy talk about a quote from the CEO of Acer Computer on how the success of the Apple iPad is due to irrational consumers. How well do you as consumers like being called irrational? be part of the discussion by leaving your comments below or tweeting using the hashtag #redshoesspeaks
Lisa shares her opinion with Tommy on reading on her Kindle versus the iPad. Hands down she will stick with her Kindle when it comes to reading time. Listen to her reasons why.
Jess, Your long lost and forgotten MacBook Pro loves you and wants to return to the fold. Ever since your new love has entered your life, things just have not been the same. You don’t communicate anymore. You are out late and seen with that “other” Apple product. I’m lonely, hurt and sad without you. Why, Why Why?? I ask myself. Please come back!
Lisa and Tommy chat about their decision process and why they decided not to buy an iPad … this time. Did you buy one? What do you think? Are we right to hold out? Or, are we just plain crazy and missed the greatest opportunity of a lifetime?
Found this ditty on Gizmodo. You guys rock. I had to laugh when I saw this. I watched the whole keynote and actually thought about the wording used and how carefully each word was selected. Now after seeing this, you know exactly that… Great job Uncle Steve and Phil.
From the youtube description: Bored of watching the full iPad keynote? No problem! The following video by Neil Curtis sums it up to convenient 180 seconds of all the important words spoken there. I assure you, that no scene is repeated and everything was said on this keynote! Oh, and please don’t take it personal: it’s meant to be humor!
Questions in advance, nothing confrontational, remember that you depend on me to make a living and in two seconds I could end your career, keep it light, keep it moving, no followups, no arguing, no pressing for more info, be reverential at all times, remember that you are acting as an extension of our PR arm and the point of this interview is to promote Apple and promote our products. That’s how my dear friend David Pogue (above) does it, and it’s why he’ll always have access to our products ahead of everyone else. Much love, David Pogue. And namaste. I honor the place where your interests and my own become one.
